EDP

  1. Understanding the problem clearly is the first important step in your project; explain the most important challenge that face you in identifying the problem that you are trying to overcome.

The pressure change as a function of height. 2. Using manometers. 3. Archimedes Principle.
  8. In (ES.1.10), you studied how to evaluate renewable energy sources in Egypt to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This helps you identify which renewable resources are most suitable for Egypt's climate, geography, and available natural resources. Outline two points that show how your project prototype fits with Egypt's environmental conditions
  9. In (CH.1.09) you studied physical properties of different types of elements, Explain three properties for the material used in constructing your prototype to achieve the design requirements and two properties for a material you rejected as it doesn’t help to achieve the design requirements.
  10. In BI.1.09, you have studied that each plant consists of many types of tissues adapted to make their functions (e.g. constructing, capturing, storing energy.....etc.). Explain with one example, the similarities between what you have studied and the design of your project which is based on producing, storing, and implementing energy from some school activities.

  15. In Mechanics (ME.1.06) you studied newton's 1st law and vector algebra. You will produce renewable and clean energy by converting water’s kinetic energy into electrical energy. Explain how can you use one concept of (Newtown's 1st Law, and vector algebra) to analyze your system, clarifying how can you got benefit out of this analysis in your capstone project?

Suppose that your team would like to establish a floating system, explain briefly how you can benefit from your studying in physics to allow the large mass of your project to float over the water. *
